    Use snares versus trap line i was taught to always make sure if it is blown out to continue to use it every time and never let the catch cereal, be the main factor in moving the traps. Now if the traps were in an area where people were causing the problem then yes, relocate the trapline! The other justification for relocating is if you want to just harvest a certain amount of animals due to population To reduce the number of issues with people only using snares because people love to steal the traps, which can lead to an expense concern where snares can be made out of anything in the environment. If this situation regarding farmer's land concerns then I can see the reason for the relocation of the traps to many different locations to reduce the landscape concerns making sure that there is no property damage then we must relocate to prevent so that the farmer wants you to come back to work and reduce his own nutrients animal control. To make sure that you continue to have a contract with the land owners. However, what traps do you use to go after the wild boar if in your area of traping have you ever had to go after them, yet? I hear that the Canadian version of The Wild Boar is coming South to the northern part of America so we are going to be faced with the same issue as the Southern United States is dealing with are you ready for this situation that is endable that the whole nation is going to deal with this, problem ( The Wild Boar) that these inactive animals occurring in our own country. Sincerely! R.S.V.

    unfortunately this is absolutely the most amateur set I have ever seen ! NEVER set in a wire fence you are asking for ripped hides and countless other scrap that is unethical!

    • @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790
      @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 Місяць тому

      Hmmm. I seem to have caught hundreds, and hundreds of coyotes using this set. Maybe one out of fifty has some damaged fur, but not one ripped hide. It is extremely effective and definitely any amateur can make this set. I always set every fence I can. Some states it is not legal, but my state it is. You’re definitely entitled to your opinion, but I’d be careful trying to dogmatically tell another trapper what to do on his trapline.

    Every time I listen to someone on the west side of the Mississippi say "coyote", I have to force myself to add the "tea" syllable at the end in my mind. I live in the east. My friends poke fun of me and my wife rolls her eyes if I say it your way. It's just easier to add the "tea" and move on. I have a friend from Texas, I visited New Mexico and have spoken to folks from Wyoming. They all say it your way. I guess most easterners were influenced by the Road Runner cartoons. Wiley E Coyot-tea had to be a big part of it!

    • @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790
      @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 3 місяці тому

      Hahahahahah. This is funny. If someone says coyoteeee around here they are from the city, and probably never even seen one before. It’s totally frowned upon. It’s funny how different things can be from east to west. We actually correct our kids as a whole when they say coyoteeee. I grew up watching Wiley and the roadrunner, and for the longest time I didn’t realize it was Wiley Coyoteee. I’ve got a pair of shotguns (chaps) that I wear when I’m riding and working cows. The shotguns have Wiley Coyote with a trap on his tail carved into the leather. A friend of mine made them for me. I know some of our northern friends call them coyootes. No matter what you call them they sure are alot of fun to catch.

      That would be a great spot to set between those rocks. The only reason I didn’t, was because of the snow. We can get a foot or more of snow in this area, and I leave my sets all season. • @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790
      @jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 3 місяці тому

      Hey Brent. Probably 90% of my cats sets are on a drag, because I can’t get a stake in the rocks. I have both cable and chain, but I lean towards cable because it’s way cheaper. It works almost as good as chain. My cables are usually about 10’ long. I prefer using a juniper branch for the drag, but a rock that’s cradled real good works too. I do have about 40 drag hooks. All of them are different types of steel drags. I’m still trying to come up with a good, cheap steel drag. When I do I’ll show it on the channel.
